Compressor enclosure is a bespoke housing built from sandwich acoustic panels around piston, screw or turbo compressors. With a steel outer skin, mineral-wool absorber layer and barrier membrane where required, it delivers 15-30 dB ambient-noise reduction. Designed together with a service door, observation window, inlet/outlet silencers and vibration mounts.
What is a compressor enclosure?
A compressor enclosure is an acoustic housing built around a noisy compressor. Manufactured to site-specific measurements or from factory-standard modules. The inner face is absorbent; the outer face is steel or stainless. Cooling airflow and service access are central to the design.
Sandwich panel build-up
- Outer skin: 1-2 mm galvanised / stainless / painted steel
- Barrier layer (when needed): EPDM membrane 4-8 kg/m²
- Absorber layer: mineral wool 80-120 kg/m³, 50-100 mm
- Inner face: perforated steel — sound wave passes through
- Total thickness: 50 / 75 / 100 / 150 mm
